GCSD paints buses to encourage new drivers to apply


GREENVILLE Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Students in Greenville County School District (GCSD) are painting school buses in the hope that new drivers will apply.

GCSD officials said the need for drivers is at a critical level.

There are full time positions available and district leaders said if you work more than 30 hours a week you may qualify to earn health and dental benefits along with retirement and life insurance.

A job fair will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21 at the Lifelong Learning/Sullivan Center at 206 Wilkins Street in Greenville.

The hourly pay rates for bus driver is $13.91 to $17.43.
