Police say a suspect was apprehended after a bank robbery on Wednesday morning.
First Citizens Bank in Lyman was robbed around 10:30 a.m.
Police say the suspect, Justin Ashley Bott, 45, of Inman has been arrested in the case.
According to a police report , Bott handed a plastic bag to a teller and said, “Fill it up, with hundreds and fifties.”
The report states he handed another teller a bag and said, “I want everything out of your drawers.”
He also demanded the money in a second drawer, but the teller told him it was just coins, according to the report.
Bott told them he wanted those too, according to the witnesses.
A witness reported seeing a man run from the bank.
That person called 9-1-1 and followed the man, according to police.
A Wellford police officer saw the vehicle and chased it until the suspect crashed into the corner of a building on Main Street at Simmons Street in Wellford.
A trooper was hurt during the chase, but it was a non-life threatening injury.
Police say all the money has been recovered.
Bott is charged with bank robbery, reckless driving, resisting arrest and a blue light violation. As of Thursday morning, he remains in the Spartanburg County Detention Center under a $45,440 bond.
