GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — A special gym in Greenville is partnering with non-profits to serve veterans in a way only fellow veterans can.
The Outpost Training Facility is geared towards being a place where veterans can come to get a good workout and find camaraderie with fellow veterans – especially those who return from battle.
Upstate veterans, Josh Formaneck and Matt Cassabon, opened the gym. They were looking for a place where veterans would feel welcome.
“This is a place where we can share those stories from our past with people that understand, that can relate and want to hear what we’ve been through,” Formaneck said.
The Outpost’s goal is to provide a space where veterans and civilians alike can help each other understand the different experiences and talents that each brings to the table.
The gym will offer free workouts, classes, discounts, clothing and time with other veterans.
The grand opening is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
