SPARTANBURG, S.C. – (WSPA) The Trees Coalition is an Upstate group focused on protecting native trees from invasive species. The group is hosting a care event on Saturday, March 11 at Cleveland Park in Spartanburg.

Volunteers are needed for two shifts. The first is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Volunteers will be provided with safety vests, tools, and hands-on instruction. Individuals are asked to bring their own chainsaws, hedge trimmers, gloves, and leaf blowers.
