ANDERSON Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Sheriff’s deputies still need help finding a woman who robbed a Girl Scout cookie booth.

The victims say a thief stole $300 from the troop shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday. It happened outside a Walmart store in Powdersville.

A woman and her daughter were selling cookies when two women in a black Jeep pulled up near the booth.

One of the women grabbed a box of money after buying cookies, according to an incident report. That’s when the Girl Scout’s mom struggled with the thief. The victim said she was punched and repeatedly kicked.

The suspects were last seen on Anderson Road headed towards Greenville.

The woman who grabbed the money box is described in the report as black, 190 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches. The victims think she’s about 30 years old and she was wearing a black sweatshirt and dark jeans with a black spiky Mohawk with blue-tipped hair. The other woman was described to deputies as a thin black female with long hair. She was wearing a tan jacket at the time.

If you have any information about the incident, you are asked to call the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at 864-260-4400.
