Greenville County has a brand new vacuum litter truck and an app so you can tell it where to go.
County officials say it has been on the road since the first week of February and has already picked up 10,920 pounds from roadways.
A second truck is expected to arrive in a few days.
It’s not the only new tool to fight litter. The county also has a new reporting app that allows you to tell them where to send the trucks.
The app is called “Litter Ends Here.” You can download it on Google Play store or Apple app store.
You can report litter by uploading photos, adding a description and dropping a GPS pin.
The county has invested $500,000 in the litter program with the two new trucks, three additional staff members and support.
