GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Some employees will be without a job at General Electric’s plant in Greenville.

According to GE Power, no production or manufacturing jobs will be impacted by the restructuring.

The company says they are still working through the process and don’t have a final number on jobs to be lost.

7News received this statement from a GE Spokesperson:

Based on the current challenges in the power market and the integration of GE and legacy Alstom, GE Power continues to transform the business to support our growth strategy and meet the needs of our customers. As a result, we made the very difficult decision to simplify our structure. We’re committed to working with our employees during this transition.”
