Crews responded Monday afternoon to the fire at Century Oak Apartments on Dillon Drive.
According to Parker Fire Department, 9 units were damaged in the fire.
Nearly 40 firefighters from three departments battled the blaze. Firefighters say the building did not have firewalls. Winds also fanned the flames.
The Red Cross said in a statement that volunteers are helping about 45 people after the apartment fire. A shelter was opened Monday night at Catholic Mission San Sebastian Church on Old Buncombe Road.
Apartment manager Antonio Sanchez says no one was hurt.
Firefighters were still working to put out hot spots on Monday night.
The investigation into the cause of the fire will begin when the fire is completely out.
