MARION, NC (WSPA) – Deputies in North Carolina have added charges against a woman who they say stole a credit card and checks from her grandparents.
Courtney Ann Truesdale, 24, is charged with forgery, obtaining property by false pretense and financial card theft by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
Truesdale is the live-in granddaughter of the victims according to a detective. The couple reported someone had stolen a credit card from them on January 19 and used it at various businesses.
McDowell County investigators say they identified Truesdale as the suspect. She was charged earlier this year with safecracking and larceny of chose in action for stealing checks from her grandparents.
