3 armed robberies in Spartanburg may be related

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Deputies say they are investigating three armed robberies that may be related. The latest happened Monday morning.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says the first incident happened Sunday at 1:45 a.m. at the Circle K on East Blackstock Road in Moore.

The worker told deputies a man dressed in all black, wearing gloves and a mask entered the store and pulled out a black gun, telling her to “give me everything”. Deputies say he took an unknown amount of cash from two registers.

The second robbery happened just before 12:30 a.m Monday at the Waffle House on Highway 221 in Roebuck.

Deputies say a man dressed in all black with gloves and a mask held up a gun to the cook. The cook gave the man money from the register and he ran off.

The third armed robbery happened later Monday morning, around 6 a.m., at the Spinx on Southport Road in Spartanburg.

A worker told deputies he was taking out the trash when a man wearing a mask and gloves, dressed in all black, approached him with a black gun and demanded money.

Deputies ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CRIME-SC.
