SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate woman is pleading for answers after her boyfriend was shot dead at a local fast food restaurant. Police say it happened at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Cedar Springs Road in Spartanburg Friday night.

It was a scene Amber Hall didn’t expect.

“All I’d seen were blue lights everywhere,” she said. “All I know is I was going to pick up my Anthony like I did every night that he had to work.”

She says she couldn’t understand what happened within minutes of talking to her boyfriend Anthony Duane Tiffany at 9:48 p.m.

“I’d called him to see how his night had been going,” she recalled. “I remember sending him a text message at 10:01 saying I’m on my way, got gas.”

Tiffany worked at the KFC on Cedar Springs Road where Hall says he recently began working a manager.

“After all of his years of cooking, his biggest thing was if one day he could be a manager,” she said.

Police say Tiffany was shot and died at the scene. Witnesses say it was an attempted armed robbery by two unidentified suspects wearing dark clothing and masks.

“You guys attempted to rob him but you robbed him of his own life and of my life with him and his life with his family,” said Hall in tears.

Jordan black says Tiffany was a supportive friend.

“I think it was a cowardly move for someone to take his life for him just doing his job,” said Black.

Hall says to her, Tiffany meant everything.

“He made you happy. He was giggly,” she said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do without my Anthony. I just want him back. I don’t understand why these people have done what they’ve done to him.”

That’s why she’s asking for help finding justice for the man she loved.

“For the sake of his family, for his friends, for me, give me some kind of peace in this because what happened to Anthony was a tragedy,” she said.

Spartanburg Police are investigating the case along with the sheriff’s office. If you have any information on what happened, call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-S-C.
