Crews respond to fire at Gillespie plant in Union Co.

UNION CO., S.C. (WSPA) – Firefighters are battling a fire at the Gillespie plant on Lower Fairforest Church Road.

Cross Keys Fire Department responded to the blaze.

No injuries have been reported as of Friday morning.

A spokesperson says the plant didn’t sustain any structural or roof damage and other areas of the plant have already restarted.

They expect to resume full production on Monday.

There was another fire at the same plant last September and in July 2010.
