Leaders break ground on logistics facility in Gaffney

GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) — Gaffney leaders broke ground Thursday on a state-of-the-art shipping facility.

Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. and Daimler Trucks North America have plans to build a $22.7 million facility.

The Herald-Journal reports that Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. purchased a 25.75-acre tract on which to build a 200,000-square-foot logistics center for its growing operations.

The company manufactures diesel walk-in van chassis.
