OCONEE CO., S.C. (WSPA) – One man is dead and three more people injured after a two-vehicle crash on Rochester Hwy. near Katelynn Ln. Sunday afternoon, according to Keowee Fire Department.
The accident happened around 5:55 p.m., reports the SC Highway Patrol. They state that the victim was in a car traveling too fast and crossed over the center line. An oncoming SUV hit that vehicle.
According to the Oconee County Coroner’s Office, 27-year-old Anthony C. Hendry was pronounced dead at Oconee Memorial Hospital 7:10 p.m. Sunday.
Three other people were also injured and had to be taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The coroner says Hendry died from multiple traumatic injuries.
No autopsy will be performed. His death is classified as accidental.
