Taxes may go up in Greenville to meet school budget shortfall

Greenville Co. Schools says it needs more than $2.25 million for next year’s budget.

That means taxes could go up.

School board trustees say the money is needed because state lawmakers are making new rules for schools and not giving them the funding they need for them.
