Highly contagious dog flu reported in SC, NC and GA

A highly contagious dog flu has been reported in SC, NC and Georgia.

Florida health officials say cases of H3N2 flu is thought to have spread at dog shows last month.

Cases have also been confirmed in Florida and Tennessee.

The flu can potentially spread at dog parks and shows as well as grooming and boarding facilities. The flu can last two weeks but the danger for pets is if it develops into pneumonia.
