Founders Federal Credit Union suspect

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery at The Founders Federal Credit Union in Spartanburg.

Police say it happened on S. Church St. around 3:00 on Friday afternoon.

The suspect is approximately 40 years old and is between 5’3″ and 5’6″ tall and weighs 175 to 200 pounds with a beard. He was wearing a blue ball cap, dark sunglasses, black shoes, and a white plastic apron. He was last seen walking south on South Church Street towards the Save-a-Lot store.

Officers say the suspect passed a cardboard note in a small blue bag to a teller saying that he had a gun and demanded money. They say no gun was shown.

They are asking for your help to find the suspect.
