Gaffney City Council approves $200k for new park

GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) – City leaders will invest more funds into a new park.

The three-acre park is expected to cost about $1.5 million.

Plans for the project include an amphitheater, splash pad and fitness stations.

On Monday, Gaffney City Council members approved spending $200,000 to purchase and renovate the Broad River Baptist Association building to accommodate future park visitors.
