The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested Antonio Dean Moore. The 19-year-old Chesnee man is charged with three counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, and failure to stop for a blue light.

Deputies are looking for 16-year-old She’lah Giovanni Norman on the same charges as Moore.

Sheriff Chuck Wright says the suspects shot at deputies during a chase early Monday after an officer tried to stop a suspected stolen vehicle.

Deputies say the chase started at Giles Drive and ended several miles away at the gate to Whitlock Flexible Learning Center on Successful Way when a tire on the car the suspects were in came off the rim. Moore and Norman got out of the vehicle, jumped the fence and ran, deputies say.

No deputies were hurt in the shooting.

One deputy’s vehicle was disabled after a shot penetrated the engine block of his vehicle.

The chase ended at the Whitlock Flexible Learning Center on Successful Way when deputies say one of the tires on the suspects’ vehicle came off the rim. The two suspects left the vehicle and jumped a fence before running away.

Deputies say they found 11 shell casings in the vehicle, including nine .45 caliber rounds and two 7.62 caliber rounds from a rifle.

Moore was arrested at an apartment complex in Wellford Wednesday.

Deputies say Moore also had warrants for two counts of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime for reportedly shooting at an occupied car in the parking lot of the Lil Cricket on Fairforest Road.

The sheriff’s office says that Spartanburg Police Department informed them that Moore, his brother, and two others are suspects in two home invasions in the city on August 22.

Anyone with information on Norman’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
